A man aged 38 was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and remained in custody yesterday.
Detective Inspector Andy Naismith said: “We are working to find out what happened in the moments before he was found dead, so that we can give his family the answers they deserve."
On Thursday an unlinked murder probe was launched in Albert Road, Handsworth area of Birmingham after a 44-year-old woman died in hospital.
She was found with serious injuries a day earlier in her home.
