A MAN has been found stabbed to death on a London street, sparking the capital's latest murder investigation.
Police were called at 6.49pm this evening to a report of an assault in Caledonian Road, near the junction with Tilloch Street, in Islington.
A Met Police spokesman said: "Officers attended along with London Ambulance Service and found a male suffering stab injuries.
"The male, who has yet to be identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
"Urgent enquiries are underway to establish the identity of the deceased. A post-mortem examination and formal identification will be arranged in due course."
People took to Twitter to speak of their shock.
One user called Kimmie said: "Worst stabbing on Caledonian Road.
"When will these people stop this sh*t. You have his Mum out here on the main road screaming for her son.
"My heart is broken man."
Detectives from the Central North Command Unit are investigating alongside colleagues from the Homicide and Major Crime Command.
Two males – both aged in their teens - were arrested near to the scene. They have been taken into custody at a north London police station.
