Romanian thief steals £400K of watches from businessman outside Harrods
SCENE: Apostoleanu stole the luxury items outside world famous department store Harrods (Harrods)
A MAN has admitted stealing more than £400,000 worth of watches and designer bags from a businessman.
Romanian national Alin-Alexandru Apostoleanu, 31, yesterday admitted to the theft outside Harrods in Knightsbridge at Westminster Magistrates Court.
The court heard the Romanian national, from Springfield Drive, Ilford, east London, stole several watches and Louis Vuitton bags from businessman Deanry Okpor, 31, on Thursday.
The court remanded Apostoleanu in custody due to fears he may abscond and reoffend before sentencing next month.
