Paedophile abused girls as young as 8 over sickening 44-year sex abuse spree

PERVERT: Disney will be sentenced for the crimes at Basildon Crown Court

A PAEDOPHILE is facing a lengthy spell behind bars after he admitted to several counts of sex attacks on underage girls over a 44-year-period.

Colin Disney, 68, from Stambridge Road, Rochford, admitted 17 counts including indecent assault, sexual touching and gross indecency on girls under the age of 16 at Basildon Crown Court.

Disney was charged with 21 historic sex abuse charges, concerning eight underage girls, in December, as exclusively revealed by Essex News and Investigations.

The girls he abused were aged between eight and under 16 at the time of the offences.

The sex attacks began in 1972 in Sherbourne, Gloucestershire, before moving to Wickford, Essex, from 1979 into the 1980s.

There was more offending in the 1990s until 1998, before it resumed in 2009 until November 2016.

One girl was abused over a nine-year period, from 1979 to 1998, in Wickford, Essex, with two others abused for around seven years each.

Disney will be sentenced in April.
