BLOODBATH BRITAIN: Yet another London murder probe after man knifed in neck during morning rush hour
A MAN became London's latest murder victim today after he was knifed in the neck during the morning rush hour.
The 42-year-old, who police believe to be Lennox Nigel Alecendor (pictured) by police at around 6.45am after they were alerted by the ambulance service.
He was found in the street in Anson Road, Cricklewood, north London,
A Met Police spokesman said: "At the scene a 42-year-old man was found in the street with a knife wound to the neck.
"Despite the efforts of medics the man was pronounced dead at the scene at 7.30am.
"Next of kin have been notified and although we await formal identification, we believe the deceased to be Lennox Nigel Alecendor who is from Harlesden."
A post mortem examination is scheduled to take place tomorrow.
A murder investigation has been launched led by Detective Chief Inspector Simon Stancombe.
DCI Stancombe said: “This murder took place on a residential street as many people were waking up and starting their day.
"My officers are waiting to take calls from anyone who may have heard an altercation and looked out to witness the incident or who may have captured any of the events leading up to, during, or following the murder on dash cam.
“Every call is treated in strictest confidence and your information could help remove a dangerous criminal from your area. Please don’t hesitate to make the call.”
The spokesman added: "At this early stage there have been no arrests and officers retain an open mind concerning motive.
"Detectives are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was either walking or driving in the area of Cricklewood Avenue or Anson Road at the time of the incident and may have seen, or have dash cam footage of a fight/altercation taking place."
