EXCLUSIVE: Convicted murderer wanted in Estonia is arrested in UK and facing extradition

A CONVICTED killer wanted in Estonia has been arrested in the UK.

Veiko Talen, 35, was arrested on a European Arrest Warrant and appeared yesterday at Westminster Magistrates' Court (pictured above) for an extradition hearing.

Talen, of an unknown address, is wanted in Estonia to serve a prison sentence for murder.

He was remanded in custody ahead of a further hearing where he will make a second application for bail.

Bail was refused yesterday as the court heard he is likely to try to abscond due to the seriousness of the offence, the "lengthy sentence" he has to serve and his having overseas connections.

The full extradition hearing will take place next year.
