EXCLUSIVE: Man wanted in Portugal over 'rape of minor' allegation agrees to be extradited

A Man wanted in Portugal in connection with allegations of the rape of a minor has agreed to be extradited.

Nedson Sergio Casaca de Sousa Rouquette, 45, was arrested on a European Arrest Warrant from Portugal and brought before Westminster Magistrates' Court.

He is wanted in Portugal to face allegations concerning the offence of the rape of a minor.

Rouquette was living at an address in Lindsey Road, Dagenham, east London, at the time of his arrest.

At a brief hearing he consented to be extradited to Portugal.

He will be remanded in custody due to fears he would otherwise abscond due to the nature and seriousness of the alleged offence, the court record stated.
