EXCLUSIVE: New twist in case of 'sex tape' HMP Wandsworth prison officer who has yet to be sentenced

The sentencing of a prison officer, who was filmed having sex with an inmate at HMP Wandsworth, in a video that went viral online, has been adjourned for a second time, for unknown reasons, Essex News and Investigations can reveal.
Linda De Sousa Abreu, 30, was on duty at the south London prison when she entered the prisoner’s cell on 27 June and had sex with him while his cellmate filmed and watched the encounter.
It was posted online and went viral on social media before she was identified by HMP Wandsworth staff.
She later telephoned the prison from Heathrow Airport, where she planned to catch a flight to Madrid, to say she was not returning to work, but she was arrested by officers from the Met Police.

De Sousa Abreu, of Fulham, south-west London, who has a Portuguese passport, later pleaded guilty to one count of misconduct in a public office at a hearing at Isleworth Crown Court in July.
The prosecution’s case was that De Sousa Abreu, who got the job at HMP Wandsworth despite her racy social media posts and appearing with her husband on Channel 4 swingers' show Open House (above), had wilfully committed misconduct in a public office by abusing her position as prison officer to have sex with an inmate.
Tetteh Turkson, from the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), said: “This was a shocking breach of the public’s trust.
"De Sousa was clearly an enthusiastic participant who wrongly thought she would avoid responsibility."
She later took to social media to claim she was coerced into the sex act.
Sentencing was set for November 7, but for unknown reasons, it was adjourned again until today, December 2, 2024.
However, ahead of the hearing, in mid November there was an application made to adjourn the sentence again until next year.
The court refused to divulge the grounds for the adjournment application, which was later approved.
