EXCLUSIVE: Polish national wanted over attempted murder and firearms offences arrested in UK


A MAN wanted in Poland for a string of firearms and violence offences has been arrested in the UK.

Polish national Wojciech Zbigniew Miernik, 49, was arrested on a European Arrest Warrant and brought before Westminster Magistrates' Court today.

The arrest warrant states he is wanted in connection with the offences of attempted murder, robbery with a firearm, robbery with a weapon, GBH x 2, possession of a firearm without certificate x3, possession of explosives and living off the proceeds of prostitution.

Miernik was found to be living at an address in Gordon Avenue, West Bromwich, West Midlands.

Bail was refused and he was remanded into custody for a second bail application later this month.
