EXCLUSIVE: Wanted Romanian child sex trafficker arrested in the UK and facing extradition
A CONVICTED child sex trafficker wanted to serve a sentence in Romanian has been arrested in the UK.
Romanian national Nelu Toader, 50, (above) was arrested in the Greater Manchester area and brought before Westminster Magistrates' Court today when he was remanded in custody.
The court heard Toader is wanted in Romania to serve a sentence of six years and one month for child sex trafficking and pimping.
He was refused bail because he was "likely to abscond and offend."

A court record of the hearing said he was remanded due to the "nature and seriousness of the offence and his lack of community ties."
It also described him as a fugitive involved in people trafficking and cross border crime who had failed to surrender at the police station."
The court record also said that three children were found at the address where he was found who were not known to the education system.
Toader is wanted in Romania for the offences of participation in a criminal organisation, trafficking in human beings, sexual exploitation of children, child pornography and disturbing public order and tranquillity.
Toader is expected to fight against extradition to Romania and a hearing was set for later this year.
