Man arrested after '£400K found stuffed in his suitcase at Heathrow Airport'

A man was arrested after more than £400,000 cash was allegedly found in his suitcase at Heathrow Airport as he prepared to fly out of the UK>

Austrian national Broomand Nasab, 41, was arrested at Heathrow Airport on Wednesday, February 12 2025, and was later charged with one count of money laundering.

The arrest was made a spart of a National Crime Agency investigation.

Nearly 11,000 Euros were also allegedly found in his carry-on backpack. All the money was seized.

Nasab, who lives in Austria, was about to board a flight to Turkey, when he was stopped by colleagues from Border Force who found the money.

He appeared at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court yesterday, Friday February 14, when the case was adjourned.
