Man arrested on suspicion of supplying cocaine in Maldon on busy Sunday afternoon
A MAN was arrested on suspicion of supplying class A drugs in Maldon in the middle of a busy Sunday in the High Street.
As staff from Sark, Paparazzi and Maldon Spice raised funds for survivors of the Turkey and Syrian earthquake with a shish kebab grill further up the High Street (watch video below), in an unrelated incident, the man was separately being searched in the turning for TDR Computers near Maldon Nails.
The search (top video) was not connected to either of the businesses.
An Essex Police spokesman said: "A man has been arrested on suspicion of drugs offences after being stopped by officers in Maldon High Street.
Officers stopped and searched a man at 1.50pm on Sunday 12 Februay.
A 27 year-old man from Maldon has been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of cocaine.
He is currently in custody."
