Man charged with murder of Elle Edwards outside Wallasey pub on Christmas Eve appears in court

A MAN charged with the murder of Elle Edwards outside the Lighthouse Inn in Wallasey on Christmas Eve today (January 13) appeared in court.
Connor Chapman, 22, (below) of Houghton Road, Woodchurch, appeared at Wirral Magistrates’ Court this morning to be charged with one count of murdering the 26-year-old beautician.

He was also been charged with two counts of the attempted murders of Kieran Salkeld, 28, (below) and Jake Duffy, 22, the same night.
He is also charged with three counts of unlawful and malicious wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm against Harry Loughran, Nicholas Speed and Liam Carr.
He is also charged with possession of a firearm, a Skorpion submachine gun, with intent to endanger life, possession of 9mm short 0.380 auto/acp calibre ammunition with intent to endanger life and handling stolen goods, namely a Mercedes A Class.

The charges were read out to him at a brief hearing today before the case was adjourned to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on Monday. A 23-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released by police on bail pending further enquiries. Merseyside Police said its investigation continues.
