Man charged with violent choke rape of woman is remanded in custody


A Man has been charged with choking and raping a woman.

Paul Quinn, 50, has been charged with four offences.

He is accused of two counts of rape, one count of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent, and a count of choking with intent.

The alleged offences are said to have occurred in the Greater Manchester area.

Quinn, of Whipton Barton Road, Exeter, appeared before a district judge at Manchester Magistrates Court on Wednesday, September 11.

He was not asked to enter a plea to the charges.

The case was adjourned for a further hearing at Manchester Crown Court today.

Quinn was remanded in custody with a further hearing scheduled for later this month.
