Man stole nearly £300 of Lego from famous bookstore - defendant left Foyles without paying twice
A MAN has admitted stealing nearly £300 of Lego from a world-famous book store.
Fraser Garden, 51, from Southampton Row in Camden, north London, pleaded guilty to stealing the popular toy from Foyles in Charring Cross Road on two occasions this month, when he appeared at Willesden Magistrates' Court yesterday (September 17 2022).
The court heard that on September 2 he stole Lego worth £129.99 from the large bookshop and returned there on September 10 when he took Lego worth £169.98 without paying for it.
He was not sentenced and a pre-sentence report is being prepared before he returns to the court at a later date.
In the meantime he is banned from going to Foyles and must live and sleep at his home address as part of conditional bail.
