Police investigate report of sexual assault in Harlow after woman heard shouting in street


POLICE were called to an address to investigate an alleged sexual assault after a woman was heard shouting and screaming in the early hours.

It happened it Potter Street Harlow, at just before 2am on Saturday, August 26, when shouting and shrieking was reportedly heard.

A man was later seen running then briskly walking from the area of the noise.

An Essex Police spokesman said: "We were called shortly before 1.55am on Saturday August 26 to reports of a sexual assault in Potter Street, Harlow.

“A woman reported a man had sexually assaulted her at an address, before he fled.

“Our investigation into this incident is ongoing.

“We would appeal for any witnesses, or anyone who may have relevant CCTV, ring doorbell footage or dashcam footage to come forward.
