PRISON LOCKDOWN: Wormwood Scrubs locks down prisoners after coronavirus rips through wing
A PRISON has gone into lockdown after coronavirus ripped through a wing.
Wormwood Scrubs, known as The Scrubs, in Hammersmith, west London, has seen soaring cases of the Covid-19 virus, Westminster Magistrates' Court heard today.
It was during the extradition case of Oscar Peters, 62, (above) who is wanted in the US for allegedly duping a businesswoman out of 1.9m US Dollars by claiming to be a billionaire financier.
Peters, a former friend of British actor Ray Burdis, was due to hear if he will be extradited today, but could not leave the prison due to the lockdown and his case was adjourned for judgement.
