A ROMANIAN woman has been arrested in the UK in connection with allegations of controlling prostitution.
Ana Maria Varga, 25, (above) of an unknown address, was arrested this month on a European Arrest Warrant and brought before Westminster Magistrates' Court.
She is wanted in Romania to serve a two year sentence for the offence of controlling sexual establishments.

A Romanian wanted appeal states that she was convicted in November 2023 and did not appeal.
It states: "the Maramures Court applied to the defendant Varga Ana Maria, a minor at the time of the crime, the measure of internment in a detention center for a period of 2 years for committing the traffic crime."
At an extradition hearing this month she did not consent to be extradited and was remanded into custody due to the seriousness of the offence, her lack of community ties and her links in Romania.
The case was adjourned until next month.
